Battery Warranty
Autobacs automotive batteries are provided with a warranty for the period of time and mileage as shown on the warranty card.
If the battery should fail within the warranty period due to a manufacturing defect, then the battery will be replaced with a new one and the new warranty period will be the remaining duration from the original date of purchase. The warranty card, completed at the time of purchase, must be provided to make a warranty claim and the claim must be made within the warranty period as shown on the warranty card.
The battery warranty is limited to the battery replacement only and does not include costs of delivering the battery to the warranty location, the cost of collecting the replacement, or and all incidental and consequential costs. The warranty does not cover defects due to normal wear, abuse, neglect, overcharging, undercharging, incorrect application and/or incorrect installation.
Warranty Does Not Cover
- A flat battery
- Normal wear and tear
- Batteries that have been physically damaged
- Failure or malfunction of the vehicle’s charging system
- Overcharging or undercharging
- Incorrect battery for the vehicle
- Batteries that have been transferred to another vehicle
- Batteries that have been water damaged or damaged by natural disaster
- Improper installation such as loose wiring and rusted/corroded hardware
Private Vehicle Usage
This warranty applies to private use vehicles. The warranty does not apply to batteries installed in commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, construction vehicles, agricultural equipment, taxis, hire cars etc.
